Are you an experienced Human Resources (HR) Manager, competent to advise on a diverse range of generalist HR matters? Are you a self-starter, confident at influencing within a large, progressive and ambitious business? If this sounds like you then we have an exciting opportunity not to be missed.

Our client, Drummond & Etheridge, are your local John Deere dealers. They sell and service the premium John Deere brand alongside other world-renowned brands and are committed to providing customers quality service and support.

This is a role where you can expect to be very hands on and no two days will be the same. In addition, you will drive a strategic approach to people, culture and capability; delivering an HR strategy that will support the entire organisation.

To be successful in the role of Human Resources Manager you must be / have:

• Relevant tertiary qualification or 5+ years HR experience (preferably in a business not corporate environment)
• Experience advising Senior Leaders
• Strong Recruitment and retention experience
• Organisational development experience
• Knowledge and experience with employment relations
• Demonstrated commercial and business acumen
• Be highly personable and capable of building strong relationships across the business with a variety of stakeholders
• Be resilient and able to drive implementation of strategy
• Ability to communicate with management/staff at all levels in order to successfully achieve outcomes by effective coaching and mentoring
• Sound judgement and problem-solving skills
• Excellent planning and organisational skills
• You will have a passion for and proven ability to build leadership capabilities for the business

Reporting into the CEO, the day to day tasks and responsibility for the HR Manager will include:

• General HR duties including but not limited to: employee engagement, driving culture, recruitment and retention, performance and leadership and organisational development
• Development, coordination and implementation of HR projects, policies and programmes
• Demonstrating strong leadership within the business and supporting the business by building the capability at all levels
