About the role
The Human Resources Representative for the North Little Rock, Arkansas facility in the Earthmoving division will serve as an HR Consultant to Operations partnering with leaders to create a positive Caterpillar experience for employees. This position will administer HR process and practices that are aligned with Caterpillar policies and local requirements.
What you will do
Interact with and counsel all levels of management, salaried & hourly employees, to assist and resolve a wide variety of personnel, wage/salary and benefit related issues.
Administering and interpreting HR Policies and Practices
Leaves of absence including medical and Family Medical Leave
New employee orientation
Conducting internal investigations
Assisting with hiring, training, and safety-related initiatives
Performance Management Process
Communication of human resources related material
Employee Opinion Survey analysis and communication
Perform duties associated with governmental regulations
Track and report on metrics and measurements for human resources functions and provide data to management
Various other Human Resources related duties
Basic Qualifications
College or university degree or equivalent experience, and in addition, 3-5 years of progressively responsible job-related experience
HR generalist experience in any of the following human resources areas: employee relations, compensation + benefits, HR policy, employment practices, training and development, and a general understanding of operations
Top candidates will also have:
Experience with Workday
Demonstrated problem-solving skills along with good human relations and communications skills to maintain cooperative work relationship with others
Ability to deal with sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality
Ability to influence and coach facility leaders
Strong organizational and prioritization skills
Experience working with a production workforce
