Job Summary:
The purpose of this position is to provide day-to-day leadership of the assigned team to ensure the team safely and efficiently performs the activities related to the assembly, logistics, or quality of Caterpillar engines. Team Leaders report to Section Managers and will be assigned to departments within the business to meet customer and company demands in Schertz, Texas.
What you will do:
Ensure standard work is followed within the team
Identify & solve problems using Caterpillar Production Systems methods
Maintain safe and clean workstations within your assigned team
Ability to maintain or exceed production standards set by the company
Provide a fair and consistent work environment that promotes mutual respect
Deliver work assignments as directed by Section Manager on a daily basis and assisting with special projects
Train employees on assigned team to complete processes and certifications
Communicate effectively with the team and across other departments
What you will have:
Ability to work well with others
Ability to maintain and supervise a team of 6 or more team members
Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Basic Knowledge of Standard Assembly tools and applications
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
What would make you a top candidate:
1 year of supervisory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
1 – 2 years of experience in Assembly, Operations or Quality Shift and/or value stream flexibility
Shift and/or value stream flexibility
Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):
Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods
Ability to perform repetitive operations
Ability to lift to 35 lbs.

What you will get:
Payrate starting at $20 an hour plus shift premium
Shift hours 3:00pm-11:30p
96 hours of vacation (PTO) with an additional 16 hours of paid personal time off
