The Dietary Aide assists in the preparation of food trays and delivery of food and nourishments patients.
Responsibilities:
Delivers trays and nourishments, collects soiled trays,
Properly sets up tray line stations as assigned
Follows diet extensions / portion control
Follows sanitation policies for handling, storing food in such a manner to minimize any cross contamination
cleans the kitchen; sorts/stores utensils and supplies, dishwashing,
prepares salads, sandwiches, desserts, stocks floor refrigerators as assigned
Properly sets up beverage carts and other special events as assigned
Satisfactorily works at dish room station; records dishwasher temperatures
Ensures that work/assignment areas are clean and equipment, tools, supplies, etc. are properly stored before leaving such areas on breaks and at the end of the work day
Cleans / sanitizes all equipment according to policy
Able to complete assignments within allotted time and able to adjust to changes and re-assignments.
Follows all established safety procedures and precautions when handling supplies and equipment
Follows established policies and procedures for use of personal protective equipment
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Prior food service experience helpful
Knowledge of cleaning and production equipment helpful
Ability to read and write English required
