The Patient Account Representative is responsible for performing registrations for outpatient services, charge posting and correction, and verifying insurance benefits as needed. Responsibilities: • Registers and enters charges in STAR for clinic and Pediatric Specialty Care patients and investigates and verifies insurance coverage issues as needed. Requirements: • High School diploma or equivalent • Knowledge of STAR registration, charge positing and insurance verification • Must have knowledge of ADS system and third party insurance rules and regulations • Excellent communication skills required. Must possess computer literacy. Typing 50 WPM required, Alpha Numeric-5000 Keystrokes per hour required. A computer/typing test will be administered to all applicants.
