JOB SUMMARY
We’re looking for a highly organized and self-motivated Business Development Associate who is a task master and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will support the Win, Keep, Grow sales activities on behalf of the Digital & Analytics team, working with consultative sales teams to support account pursuits and renewals / expansions. Responsibilities include Digital & Analytics sales team support, solution pricing, preparing proposals and presentations contributing to the preparation of Request for Proposal (RFP) and Request for Information (RFI) responses, and helping the Digital & Analytics Team track sales pipeline activities in Salesforce.
Plays an active role in the client engagement process by gathering information, conducting analyses and supporting the creation of materials for use with existing and prospective clients.
The Digital & Analytics team is a global group of experienced data professionals, analysts, data scientists, and developers executing real estate business intelligence projects for CBRE’s clients. Projects are focused on data integration and automation, warehousing, and visualization to optimize client portfolio operations across all service lines: facilities management, project management, finance, portfolio administration, benchmarking and capital planning, etc.
The ideal candidate is very detailed-oriented and possesses a broad skill set across several categories: proposal development, pipeline tracking, calendar management, strong communications, knowledge of the corporate real estate outsourcing industry, and pricing and finance experience. Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a related role. Advanced degree not required but preferred. This position is remote, but the Digital & Analytics group has significant presence in New York, NY, Santa Barbara and San Diego, CA, Chicago, IL, and Dallas, TX. Work from home or another CBRE office is an option. This is a global role and requires the flexibility to occasionally attend calls and meetings in multiple time zones.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Helps to creates a wide variety of quality sales and presentation materials (pricing proposals, RFP and RFI responses, and graphical presentations) for new pursuits, renewal contracts, and change orders.
Assist with organizing and maintaining sales, marketing, and project library, including draft and final sales collateral, standard marketing collateral, case studies, internal contracts, project scope & documentation. Responsible for populating and maintaining stock content in Digital & Analytics Sales & Solutions library.
Memorializing and tracking action items and tasks related to advancing pipeline opportunities and memorializing project status and pursuit activities in Salesforce. Supports internal coordination between the Digital & Analytics Sales team and Service Delivery team.
Develops strong working relationship with solutions teams and subject matter experts throughout the organization (both functional leaders and account management).
Partners with team leadership and corporate marketing and communications as needed to ensure effective marketing service delivery, business promotion, and platform alignment.
Partners closely with delivery, billing, and support teams to align sales activities with project execution. Supports sales-to-delivery team project handoffs, informs billing team of contract terms, and assists with project transition from sales to delivery.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) required. Minimum of 2 years of related experience and/or training with a background in sales, business development, finance, consulting, or analytics preferred.. Knowledge of real estate, business analytics, data management and/or property technology (PropTech) industries preferred.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
None required.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to prepare pricing, proposals, and reports in a pre-designed style and format. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to internal and external clients. Ability to effectively present information. Ability to respond to inquiries effectively and efficiently from clients, co-workers, supervisor, and/or management. Ability to effectively present information.
FINANCIAL AND STATISTICAL KNOWLEDGE
Requires intermediate knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate figures such as percentages, discounts, and other fundamental Excel formulas. Use of financial tools for analytics, report creation, and problem solving.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret various types of business documents such as complex and lengthy RFP and RFI documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES
Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.) Advanced Excel skills preferred. Experience working with large data sets and decipher multiple types of RFP and RFI models preferred. Advanced Excel skills preferred. Understanding of data visualization concepts. Strong knowledge of Salesforce.com or comparable CRM application is a plus.
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
Decisions made with understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Responsible for setting own project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to coworkers and supervisor.
