JOB SUMMARY
The Apprentice role will learn to install, alter, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electronic, mechanical, computer, control systems and components in a fulfillment/distribution center. Completion of a comprehensive classroom, laboratory, and on-the-job learning program is required. The apprentice will also learn and follow all health and safety policies and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
Follow work processes closely to ensure a safe environment while job shadowing. Observe and incorporate safety standards and regulations required for safe operation systems.
Combine electronic, mechanical, computer and control skills to allow for identification of equipment malfunctions. Perform maintenance/repairs and return equipment to service. Install, repair, adjust, and test equipment and components to ensure that systems function accurately.
Work with high-performance manufacturing systems to analyze, troubleshoot, and repair systems in order to maintain process efficiency.
Perform scheduled, predictive, and preventive maintenance to detect and prevent problems.
Troubleshoot to identify and prevent possible problems and failures and make repairs.
Work closely with other technicians and coordinate efforts when installing or maintaining equipment or components. Connect with machine operators and operate equipment to detect equipment problems, analyze malfunctions, and verify system problems.

QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
High School or GED Diploma Required.
0-2 Years of experience in an electrical, mechanical, or controls field.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
Must meet the minimum qualifying score on a Mechanical Proficiency Test.
Interpersonal Skills
Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor.
Financial knowledge
Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to understand and carry out general instructions.
Ability to solve problems in standard situations.
Requires basic analytical skills.
OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES
Strong interpersonal skills
Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs / ladders. Must be at least 18 years of age, able to work any Shift, and open/willing to relocate after completion of the 15-month program.
