Job purpose:
As the Cleaning Area Manager, you will be responsible for leading and supervising a team of cleaning staff across various sites across the Munster region. Your primary objective will be to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of cleaning services, while upholding our company’s quality standards and meeting client expectations. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining strong client relationships and fostering a positive work environment within your assigned area.
Job description
Manage and supervise a team of cleaning staff through Supervisors, including recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and scheduling to ensure adequate staffing levels and coverage.
Ensure all locations are within budget
Monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene across all assigned sites, complying with industry regulations and company policies.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of cleaning operations to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with clients to understand their specific cleaning requirements and ensure service delivery aligns with their expectations.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and resolving issues promptly and effectively.
Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to create a safe working environment for cleaning staff and clients.
Manage the procurement and inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and materials within allocated budgets.
Monitor and track cleaning performance metrics, such as productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction, and provide regular reports to senior management.
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in the cleaning field, and implement relevant improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Foster a positive work environment by providing guidance, support, and training to cleaning staff, promoting teamwork and professional development.
In conjunction with HR, carry out formal and informal staff meetings as is required
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a similar cleaning management role, preferably in the facilities management or commercial cleaning industry.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team of cleaning staff.
Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, best practices, and industry standards.
Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, staff, and stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think critically in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in using IT software and Technologies.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and the ability to enforce compliance.
Flexibility to travel within assigned areas and work non-traditional hours when necessary.
