About the role:

We are looking for a Finance Manager, who will be accountable for budgeting, forecasting, reporting and taxation across our NZ business. The incumbent should have a strong understanding of managing day-to-day finance operations and should have previous experience partnering with senior business stakeholders. The role will act as the first point of contact for all finance inquires in New Zealand and will be required to lead a small team.

Key responsibilities include:

1.    Financial Management:

·       Accountable for the delivery of accurate financial reporting for CDC NZ

·       Provide support to Group Finance for all technical accounting for CDC NZ, ensuring compliance with changes in standards.

·       Lead delivery and development of annual financial reports for NZ, ensuring timely adoption of changes to disclosures

·       Provide input to the monthly financial reporting and Board packs, ensuring relevant for Board level decision making by offering analysis of the financial performance of the NZ business.

·       Participate in CDC’s long-term forecast, annual budgets, business plans and forecasts with analysis for Board approval.

2.    Finance & Administration:

·       Ensure tax, legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions for NZ business.

·       Contribute to the broader CDC team financial and operational objectives such that the Group achieves the corporate goals set each year whilst also helping the achieve the group’s long-term objectives.

3.    Compliance, governance and risk management:

·       Implement strategies that help safeguard contractual and commercial risk.

·       Ensure a thorough understanding of CDC’s supplier base, processes, policies, risk management and business imperatives.

4.    People leadership:

·       Oversee, manage, mentor and develop the team to ensure an effective and efficient finance function

·       Provide cultural and operational team leadership.

5.    Other duties as directed from time to time

About you: 

·       Minimum 7 years commercial experience

·       Strong Communication, Stakeholder and Negotiation skills

·       Proven commercial/business acumen

·       Experience in managing and mentoring teams and influencing peers

Essential:

•       Full working rights in New Zealand, either permanent residency or citizenship.
