Job Description:

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Lead Electrician to oversee and manage our on-site installations and electrical projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in solar installations, exceptional technical skills, and the ability to lead and mentor an apprentice and/ or laborers. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage on-site solar installations and general electrical work.
• Supervise and mentor apprentices, ensuring high standards of workmanship.
• Collaborate with the business owner to plan and execute projects efficiently.
• Conduct site assessments and provide technical expertise on installation procedures.
• Ensure all installations comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during installations.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working order.
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing client questions and concerns professionally.
• Assist with project planning, including estimating timeframes and material needs.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and safety practices.

Qualifications:

• A grade license.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical work, with a focus on solar installations.
• Proven leadership skills and experience supervising apprentices or junior electricians.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and safety practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CEC Accreditation (Clean Energy Council) for solar installations.
• SAAA accreditation.
• Working at heights. 
• Manual drivers license
• Experience with both residential and commercial solar projects.
• Familiarity with modern electrical tools and technology.
