What you’ll do here: Workforce Skills – Corporate is hiring a Program Manager to lead and build operations for its first direct corporate offering, Ready To Hire. This role requires an experienced project or program manager who understands how to work with customers and across internal functions to build something new and achieve goals. The person must feel comfortable working in ambiguity in a start-up like environment. Ready To Hire is expected to start 1-3 pilots in its first year before building the commercial launch January 2023. Pilot Operations and Project Management + Collaborate with internal teams to achieve customer outcomes in marketing, recruiting, student services, product, and analytics + Coordinate with product and technology teams to ensure that development is on track to meet timelines for launch + Serve as the point of contact for all project-related activities, make decisions that impact the project’s success, and call out issues + Create clear project plan, communicate widely to all stakeholders and hold them accountable, even in situations of ambiguity + Collaborate with external partners and customers by coordinating and facilitating meetings, clarifying processes and decisions, brainstorming solutions, facilitating challenge resolution, and problem-solving in the best interests of the project, short-term and long-term Customer Management + Serve as primary day-to-day contact for employer partners on program operations + Manage expectations for initial product build while maintaining customer excitement about the future full capabilities Operations Design and Process Improvement + Collaborate with VP, Corporate Markets to design and build initial operations for future Customer Success team, and other operating teams + Document processes and determine where improvements can be made through technology, increased efficiencies, and partnership Skills you will need here: 5+ total years’ experience in an operational leadership role, including as program manager or other operational or management-type role that demonstrates the skills, experiences, and/or aptitudes below: + Experience in successfully and independently leading multiple projects simultaneously, with some of those projects being complex + Demonstrated ability to successfully coordinate and lead teams through alignment and influence + Demonstrated ability to design new processes, including coordination with cross-functional leaders + Experience with the intersection of customer operations and product, and managing both to launch through a build stage + Experience managing multiple external stakeholders to align implementation details and resolve challenges + Experience aligning team performance toward partner satisfaction, process management, with a bias towards action even amidst ambiguity + Effective written and verbal communication required for interacting with internal Cengage teams and customers + Ability to synthesize perspectives and make collaborative decisions that balance the needs of quality, time, cost, and scope + Start up experience and experience operating across student lifecycle a plus Cengage Group is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
