The Vice President of Customer Marketing & Sales Enablement owns and leads the overall marketing and sales enablement strategy for US Higher Ed and Canada. This leadership role partners with Marketing Operations and Product Marketing to design and implement marketing campaign strategies to achieve revenue targets and drive growth for the business by developing marketing campaigns focused on customer acquisition, retention and loyalty, and enabling our sales organization’s ability to close business efficiently and effectively. Reporting to the Senior Vice President and General Manager for US Higher Ed and Canada, this leader supports, inspires, and develops a high-performance culture and drives achievement of organizational objectives through collaboration with cross functional teams to create alignment and maximize revenue and customer impact.
Significant impact in this role is achieved by partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing Operations, and Product Marketing to drive alignment in campaigns, demand creation programs, and sales enablement initiatives including sales learning & development programming that achieves revenue targets and grows revenue. This role uses data/metrics on customer expectations, marketing campaigns and events, and selling cycle & strategies to provide alignment of processes, tools & resources, and training that builds pipelines and produces results.
What you’ll do here:
Customer Marketing
Creates and implements comprehensive marketing strategies. Identifies target customer segments, develops journey maps, and implements go-to-market campaigns that grow revenue.
Drives customer acquisition and retention. Develops campaign strategy to attract new customers and increase customer retention rates. Partners across the business to align campaign efforts with revenue objectives, ensuring a consistent and seamless experience.
Continuously evaluates and improves the customer experience across all touchpoints.
Builds and leads a team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support. Fosters a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive team culture that encourages creativity and continuous improvement.
Works closely with cross-functional teams to align campaign initiatives with overall business objectives.
Implements robust analytics and reporting systems to measure the effectiveness of initiatives. Uses data-driven insights to optimize campaigns, identify areas of improvement, and report on KPIs to senior leadership.
Demand Generation
In partnership with the SVP Service Experience & Marketing Operations, defines and leads overall demand generation and growth strategy, programs, and budget.
Designs and implements demand generation initiatives, campaigns, and tactics to support sales pipeline and achieve revenue goals for marketing programs.
Drives executive reporting cadence, including campaign and channel performance, partner contribution, and pipeline growth while establishing tracking and measurement to optimize programs based on real-time results and reporting on the value delivered by demand generation efforts.
Drives alignment and improves ROI, while continuously evaluating campaign performance and adjusting tactics and strategies as needed.
Sales Enablement
Simplifies workflows and drive excellence. Leads change management through adoption planning and the implementation of tools, processes, sales communications, and training.
Leads Sales L&D team and programs; collaborates with HR and sales leadership to drive the adoption of our sales learning & development programs, competency framework and integration into core talent processes.
Facilitates an organization of continuous learning and process improvement by working across the business to understand sales bottlenecks and inconsistencies.
Builds strategies that enable sales to achieve their revenue targets, creates an environment that fosters high performance, learning and engagement.
Assesses skills, knowledge, process, and tools required by our sales force to increase pipeline velocity and conversion rates at each stage.
Sponsors and facilitates all sales development activities and programs.
Measures and supervises the long term business impact of learning programs and the enablement team. Drives continuous improvement to update programs to meet and exceed expectations.
Skills you will need here:
7+ years of direct experience leading marketing and sales enablement teams. Strong background in sales, marketing, and/or go-to-market strategy and execution.
BA/BS degree, preferably in Business or Marketing, Communications, Organizational Development and Leadership, or a related field.
Strong team-building capabilities. Ability to build, lead, and effectively manage a successful team. Fosters communication between teams and various departments across a matrixed organization.
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with ability to understand the importance of using data to drive decision-making.
Ability to drive enterprise-wide organizational transformation and effective change.
Deep understanding of customer segmentation, customer journey mapping, and customer experience management.
Proficiency in marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, and analytics tools.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful customer marketing strategies, creating sales plays and deploying campaigns.
A deep desire to drive productivity, to deliver the best possible programs – from ideation to planning and execution.
Ability to relate to the sales environment, with a tendency to think holistically and knowledgeably in tactical sales skills training & coaching.

Base Pay Range
The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location. Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.
$183,300.00 – $293,300.00 USD
