POTTERY ASSISSTANT | 10.70 Per Hour

The pottery painting studio is a favourite with our guests, it’s a place where they can relax and unveil their inner artist. There’s a wide range of pieces to paint and items are glazed overnight for a professional finish. We are now looking to recruit a part time Pottery Assistants with a creative flair, to join the team.

In this role, you will be responsible for offering guidance and support on ceramic painting whilst providing a safe and efficient environment for our guests. Excellent customer service skills are required as you will ensure the guests’ requirements are always met and naturally seek out opportunities to exceed their expectations.

The bustling environment requires sustainable energy and enthusiasm along with the ability to multitask and oversee busy activities. Other responsibilities will include ensuring high standards of cleanliness and tidiness are maintained and that the large volume of pots are glazed to agreed timescales.

Due to the sensitive nature of this role the successful applicant will be required to apply for Garda Vetting. This disclosure, together with other selection information, will need to be satisfactory to the Company for employment to commence.

ABOUT YOU

Essential requirements:

• Naturally cheerful disposition
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and guests
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to perform under pressure
• A creative flair

Desirable requirements:

• Previous pottery experience with a working knowledge of current ceramic techniques and of using kilns
• Experience of working within the customer care industry
• The ability to teach methods and practices

HOURS OF WORK

You will be contracted to work 90 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis, which means that your hours and days of work could vary each week but you will always receive your contracted hours each period.

Your working hours will include weekdays, weekends, public/bank holidays and during Christmas and/or New Year on a rota basis, with a premium rate of pay for hours worked on a Sunday.
