Summary This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Office of Program Operations and Local Engagement (OPOLE), Division of Casework Management (DCM). As a Health Insurance Specialist, GS-0107-9, you will perform assignments associated with program oversight and customer service aimed at private health insurance consumers, beneficiary/provider populations and interest groups, and other stakeholders. Responsibilities Analyze and interpret Federal regulations, policy statements, and other program guidance. Participate in short-term studies to identify potential areas of program improvement. Respond to routine inquiries regarding program-related activities to a variety of internal and external stakeholders (e.g., beneficiaries, providers, public and private organizations, congressional staff, and other government organizations). Therefore, only education in excess of 1 full year of graduate level education may be used to combine education and experience.
