The Trainee Education Mental Health Practitioner role will:

The Trainee Education Mental Health Practitioner is required to:
Applicants that may not hold an honours degree must have proven successful study at level 5; or successful part completion of an Honours degree
or
Honours Degree graded at 2.2 or above
Please note: Continued employment in this post is conditional on the successful completion of the course and a 13-week probationary period. The successful candidate will require to be available to commence training from September 2022 and will be expected to travel from their work base in Milton Keynes to the University of Reading site to attend training on all days as required in the first year of employment. The position will be based in Milton Keynes and candidates must be within a manageable commuting distance to Milton Keynes to be able to sustain continuity of employment during training and following successful completion of the training.

The successful applicant may have contact with patients or service users and we will therefore be seeking proof of vaccination or medical exemption during the recruitment process. Band 4 EMHP work as part of a team and you will contribute to the success of the team by drawing support from more experienced mental health practitioners and other health professionals but also by supervising other staff and students to ensure they are working to the standards which the people using our services deserve.
