Compensation:

• $22/hour – $23/hour based on 40 hours
• $33.00/hour for all overtime, and Holidays
• M-F 8:00

Job Title: Patient Scheduler

Responsibilities

Schedules multiple same day appointments and special or complex medical procedures at practicing hospitals/clinics, as well as any other follow up medical appointments/admissions ordered by providers to ensure high level of patient and physician satisfaction and follow up. Creates timely patient letters and calendars to prepare patients for procedures and appointments. Helps facilitate the pre-certification process for scheduled hospital admissions. Responsibilities include: results recording providing support to staff and faculty by managing phone calls and correspondence, maintaining files, reports, requesting pertinent patient records, as well as general support. Assists patients at the front desk at the discretion of the supervisor based on clinic needs with patient check-in, check-out, scheduling, etc.

Qualifications

“Minimum: Knowledge of basic medical terminology and keyboarding skills. Knowledge of environment of care and infection control policies
Previous clerical experience in a medical or customer service setting. Previous computer entry experience with ability to learn new applications and work processes.
Key boarding skills of 35 wpm. Good communication and customer service skills. Job candidates are required to pass an online prescreening assessment for Patient Rep when applying for this position. Good prioritization, data entry skills, dependable and team player.
Flexible with assignments and able to perform a wide variety of front desk functions. Good multi-tasking and critical thinking skills. Outstanding Interpersonal and communication skills.”
