CFD Research Corporation Looking for Junior Software Engineer- Front End at Huntsville, AL Full Time
CFD Research is seeking a Junior Front-End Software Engineer with 0-3 years of experience to develop and maintain user-facing features of our desktop and mobile applications. The ideal candidate should be familiar with component libraries such as Tailwind and/or Material UI and frameworks such as Django, Bootstrap, and/or Jumpstart. In this role, you will work closely with in-house UI/UX designers, software architects, developers, and research PIs to design, develop, and test user interfaces that enhance user experience. Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain user-facing features of our desktop and mobile applications.
- Collaborate with our development team to design and implement responsive user interfaces.
- Work closely with our UX/UI designers to ensure our applications are intuitive and easy to use.
- Use component libraries similar to Tailwind and/or Material UI and frameworks like Django, Bootstrap, and/or Jumpstart to develop scalable and maintainable code.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Write and execute unit tests and/or set up automated test suites. Requirements:
- 0-3 years of experience as a Front-End Software Engineer.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience working with frameworks such as Django, Bootstrap, and/or Jumpstart.
- Experience using component libraries such as Tailwind and/or Material UI.
- Familiarity with front-end build tools such as Webpack, Grunt, or Gulp.
- Experience with responsive design and mobile-first development.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Preferences:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience using Atlassian tool suite or similar software management tools is a plus. Location: Hybrid, mostly Remote.
