The role of the Marketing Director for the Chanel F&B is to define, drive and execute the Marketing strategy for the fast-paced Mexican market, to support the overall business strategy and objectives.

What impact you can create at Chanel:

• The marketing strategy contributes to driving brand awareness and conversion whilst protecting the Brand equity.
• This position is central to the Fragrance & Beauty business and requires a high level of collaboration & coordination with different departments and stakeholders in the Mexican Market and at a regional level.

Marketing strategy definition:

• Develop and implement the marketing strategy for the Mexican market consistent with the global brand strategy and in alignment with the business objectives, in close collaboration with key regional and global stakeholders.
• Work in close collaboration with the retail and commercial teams to adapt global initiatives to the regional and local context by defining clear common goals to ensure optimum results.

Marketing Campaign orchestration and execution:

• Ensure flawless and environmental-friendly execution of the marketing strategy and campaigns through excellent partnership with all departments and the regional team.
• Communicate on a regular basis changes to the marketing plans with the sales and retail teams to adjust different trade activities.
• Ensure operational flow efficacy & accurate forecasting for all campaign quantities, as well as oversea forecasts for key launches at local level in collaboration with the commercial and supply teams.
• Measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns to adjust future activities to support the business.

Competitive Insights:

• Provide competitive intelligence on marketing campaigns (trends, competitor activities and launches, communication, distribution, brand & clients initiatives etc..) to nurture and feed the F&B marketing strategy.

Brand Communication:

• Contribute to the definition of the 360 F&B communication plan in collaboration with the Digital/Media/CRM, PR and Sales teams to support F&B local strategy.

Team and department management:

• Set the priorities of the team (collectively and individually), evaluate the performance of direct reports, and support their personal career development, manage the overall budget of the marketing department (activity and departmental costs, etc.)

What you will bring to the role:

• Experience in omni channel marketing across different retail channels and online retailers, ideally in the F&B or luxury industry, where excellent customer experience was paramount
• A strategic thinker and creative innovator who is ahead of the trends and that can take the marketing function to the next level of performance
• An experienced leader with great people skills to motivate and drive forward the team
• A natural connector of ideas and people
• Flexible, agile, able to adjust and reassess priorities quickly as required
• Digital and client centric mindset
• Project management skills
• Effective communication and Influencing skills
• Comfortable with data and analytics to feed marketing and business strategies
• Ability to summarize large amounts of information and provide relevant insights to stakeholders
• Fluency in English & Spanish is a must have, French is a plus.
