Overview of Position
The Pricing Strategy Sr. Analyst will drive Change Healthcare’s pricing strategy and execution for our Software and Analytics business. This position will drive pricing and lead projects to improve revenue, margin, and portfolio objectives. By incorporating insights from Change Healthcare’s financial performance, competitive position, and market dynamics, this analyst will recommend standard prices and advise on deals to drive growth across our Software & Analytics businesses. What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
Provide overall thought leadership in identifying market opportunities, performing business and competitive analyses, and develop value-based pricing strategies and tactics to pursue identified opportunities.
Coordinate across several BU functional teams including product management, sales, finance, marketing, partnerships, customer success, and legal to understand market dynamics, business performance, and devise effective pricing strategies and monitor price realization.
Work as a member of the pricing center of excellence to support strategic pricing decisions, develop analytics around pricing (e.g., price sensitivity/elasticity analysis, regression analysis, price waterfalls, etc.), and present plans to get alignment for execution from senior leaders in the BU.
Create pricing models capturing the value proposition that drives clear ROI to customers and businesses.
Work closely with marketing and sale managers to develop sales training and collateral, as needed, and drive pricing and promotional decisions.
Work with finance, sales operations, and deal desk to evaluate and manage win/loss data to understand and quantify customer decisions.
Support deal desk, as needed, on complex deals with deal economics and timely analytics.
What are the requirements needed for this position?
3 -5 years pricing, finance, marketing analytics, consulting, or similar experience
BS/BA in economics, finance, marketing, engineering, math, or equivalent experience
Ability to create financial models for ad-hoc reporting and work with large volumes of data
Advanced Excel skills required
Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external customers and department staff.
Excellent presentation skills with the ability to present effectively to diverse audiences.
Experience collaborating with internal and external resources to develop strategies that meet pricing goals within established timelines
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
MBA
Experience in Spotfire or similar tools building and maintaining dashboards over equivalent application
Desire to continuously explore advanced analytics in pricing
Strategic thinking and ability to identify growth
Healthcare technology experience
Experience with Saas pricing
A fundamental understanding of pricing concepts and frameworks
Position will require a solid grasp of quantitative analysis, finance, and statistics
