Sr. Manager, Workday Technology
Works closely with the HRIS team to ensure successful development of Workday’s various technology areas and Reporting products, tools, and services. The Workday Technology Manager will help manage the deliverables relates to integration, reporting and security administration. This role must have a deep knowledge of service oriented architecture design principals, in-depth knowledge of Workday’s various integration, analytics and security technologies.
Critical Skills/ Qualifications: • 6+ years of experience working and building integrations with Workday HCM system in a professional, fast-paced environment.• Expert in building and maintaining inbound/outbound integrations and reports in Workday functional such as HCM, Talent, Recruiting, Benefit, Compensation and Payroll.• Excellent Workday integration skills with any of the following Workday setup tools: Studio, Core Connectors, EIBs, PICOFs, Web Services, REST APIs. Strong Experience with web service integrations (SOAP, WSDL, XML, XSLT)• Experienced in IT architecture, data modelling and analytics • Workday certifications preferred (Workday integrations, Reporting and Security administration).• Strong experience in building and maintaining calculated fields in Workday.• Strong experience in Workday Security administration • Excellent report writing skills in building reports in all types, Advanced, Matrix, BIRT, Dashboard, etc.• Strong Experience with web service integrations (SOAP, WSDL, XML, XSLT)• Experience with managing teams
Responsibilities• Lead Workday Technical projects involving strategy, implementation support, optimization related to Information Technology (IT) operations, business processes, security, and data integrity for the Technical optimization related to information technology operations, business processes, security, and data integrity for the applications • Assembles the man-power, technology, processes, and financial resources necessary to address the future integration and analytics needs of the business.• Provides leadership in full systems life cycle management (e.g., analyses, technical requirements, design, coding, testing, implementation of systems and applications software, etc.) to ensure delivery is on time and within budget. • Directs component and data architecture design, technology planning, and testing for Applications Development initiatives to meet business requirements and ensure compliance. Develops and leads technical project activities for integrations, security and analytics. • Guides teams to ensure effective communication and achievement of objectives; Researches and supports the integration of emerging technologies. • Provides knowledge and support for applications’ development, integration, and maintenance. Leads team members with project related activities and tasks, guides and influences department and project teams. Facilitates collaboration with stakeholders.• Day to day leadership of the System team, ensuring business priorities and SLA’s are being met for Workday integrations, security and analytics • Build and maintain a strategic support plan for all integrations in and out of Workday• Evaluate the weekly and bi-annual Workday releases for changes in functionality, develop regression test plans and tools, and run the testing required for each release• Develops/ Maintains the overall Roadmap for Workday technology (Integrations, Security and Analytics) • Develops/ Maintains Release plan and governance around delivery • Support business process administrators in special project/annual activities (i.e. Annual Performance Management process, Annual Benefits Enrollment process etc)• Provide support for reporting needs for Workday, build custom reports when required• Ensures compliance • Demonstrates good leadership skills, an ability to inspire and lead a large cross-functional group in a unified direction with a common vision. • Demonstrate an ability to influence business leadership and executives
