Chevalier Wholesale Produce Limited Hiring for Warehouse Assistant Job at Wellington Full Time

Chevalier Wholesale Produce has been in the business for 50 years. Supplying to cafes, restaurants, bars and hotels with 5 branches around NZ.

Our Wellington Branch is seeking a team member to join our small but busy branch for approximately 30 rostered hours per week. Your role will be a ‘jack of all trades’ which will include packing orders, taking phone orders and processing them into the system, receiving customer enquiries as well as assisting with deliveries if and when required.

Full training will be provided but an ability to learn systems quickly and familiarization with the Wellington area would be an advantage.

As we are open 7 days a week, the shifts for this role may vary during the week.

The successful applicant will also be required to start from as early as 3am as the mornings are our busiest time. You must also be available to work on weekends if required.

This role will be a CASUAL role to start off, with the potential to become permanent later on.

To be successful in this role:

Must have previous computer work experience
Good English both verbal and oral
Excellent phone manner
Familiarity with produce would be advantageous
Great attention to detail
Punctuality
Ability to lift up to 20kgs
Physically fit
A full drivers license (desirable)
