Chevron manufacturing has recently established a central cost engineering organization. This role is part of the team located at the Pascagoula Refinery that supports the portfolio of small capital projects. The Project Scheduler provides planning and scheduling support at both the program and project level.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Develop and maintain level 1-3 project schedules
Maintain an integrated master schedule
Conduct schedule reviews and validate engineering and construction contractors’ schedules to ensure compliance with Chevron expectations
Integrate estimate information with the schedule (e.g. resource loading) to support investment decision, reporting, benchmarking, and lookback activities
Support IPA benchmarking, internal benchmarking, and data collection efforts
Train project team members on best practices related to network scheduling, what-if analysis, critical path management, etc.
Facilitate integrated planning meetings with construction and procurement with the focus of solving issues and identifying areas and opportunities for schedule improvement
Work closely with contractors and Chevron project teams to ensure appropriate schedule development
Required Qualifications:
Highly proficient in Primavera P6
10+ years of downstream oil and gas scheduling experience supporting small projects, major capital projects, engineering, and maintenance
Proficient with MS Excel and other common Microsoft products
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in complex onshore process facilities, especially in refineries and/or petrochemicals.
Demonstrated experience coaching others to grow cost scheduling capabilities
Skilled in using IPA’s cost data collection forms
Relocation Options:
