General scope:
The recorder is responsible for the final review and timely recording of all title documents to be submitted for recording with the County Recorder’s Office.
Primary responsibilities:
Proofread all documents submitted for recording for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with statutory recording requirements.
Effectively communicate with Escrow and Title department regarding document accuracy, closing instructions, and title clearance issues.
Make final decisions regarding the adequacy of documents submitted for recording.
Prepare pre-write of policy per closing instructions.
Prepare invoice for all title fees and report recording numbers.
Perform other duties as may be required or requested by supervisor/manager.
Minimum qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be attentive to detail, energetic, capable of meeting crucial deadlines, and react well under pressure. Familiarity with real estate documents and recording procedures is preferred.
