Chief Flying Instructor Full Time

Qualifications & experience

• A or B category flight instructor rating (must be current)
• Various Cessna & Piper type ratings
• Experience instructing tailwheel, mountain flying & strip flying – beneficial but not essential

Tasks & responsibilities

• Managing the day to day running of flight operations, flight office and wider airfield
• Managing aircraft maintenance schedules with support from our aircraft maintenance providers
• Overseeing and ensuring compliance by staff and members (pilots) of all flying polices and local by-laws
• Flight training with students ranging from zero experience to instructor ratings and conducting checks on student progress and flight training quality assurance and consistency
• The overseeing and management of safety management systems
• Maintaining relationships and communication with other aerodrome users and ensuring all users are complying with CAA and local rules
