Purpose

• Support marketing teams in delivering brand strategy, by addressing business objectives with primary market research or other appropriate methods to support ongoing activities
• Manage all aspects of the Market Research process and projects to ensure value is derived to answer specific business questions, create insight and inform decision making.
• Develop processes and methods to enable competitive intelligence to be gathered, recorded and interpreted. Work closely with the corporate competitive intelligence team to challenge and align knowledge. Develop logical considered assumptions and develop scenario planning to inform company of potential future challenges and opportunities.
• Key member of the strategic planning process and team. Leverage all company, product and competitor knowledge to inform and plan for the future.
• Member of the Business Development core team, to provide analysis of potential future opportunities.

Profile

University degree in Business or Science

Considerable experience in similar role (agency or client side)

Business and Commercial Acumen essential

Proactive in driving need for market research and translating results into actions

Logical thinker, with strong project and time management skills

Strong influencing skills, through knowledge and application of insights

Strategic thinker, analytical, problem solver

Self-motivated with positive attitude

Confident presenter with the ability to distil complex analysis into considered logical insights

Confident contributor in cross-functional team environment

Responsibilities

Market Research

• Project management from planning to completion of all UK market research activities
• Maintain quality of research materials in accordance with BHBIA and ABPI requirements whilst ensuring content is relevant to business objective, therapy area and competitive scenario
• Management of approval of all market research materials in Promomats (approval system) for all projects
• Liaison for key internal stakeholders across departments to collate input and ensure project process is followed for both UK and corporate projects with research completed within timelines
• Work closely with Global functions to ensure delivery of all global led market research projects taking place in the UK are completed smoothly, without delays and adhere to BHBIA/ABPI guidelines.
• Main point of contact for market research within the UK for internal stakeholders and market research vendors
• Ownership of supplier relationship with market research vendors, holding reviews and measuring KPIs based on stakeholder feedback

Competitive Intelligence

• Develop and maintain a library of material to understand the competitive future landscape in the UK and the impact on the UK business.
• Analysis of market and environment to understand various scenarios
• Maintain assumptions for all markets and products where Chiesi operate based on intelligence and fact-based analysis.
• UK representative within the global competitive intelligence network, to challenge thinking, share intelligence and develop realistic assumptions of competitive scenarios
• Participation in strategic and brand planning process, supporting and contributing relevant therapy area and competitive insights, liaising with other departments to refine information
• Timely communication of key intelligence to the business
