Job Overview
The Maintenance Technician performs on demand, corrective, and
preventative maintenance on machinery, plumbing, carpentry, building,
electrical equipment, and patient rooms. This position is in healthcare
facility maintenance, which would require at times various assignments and
other miscellaneous duties in the maintenance field.

Department: Utilities Management
Hours per week: 40, eligible for benefits
Shift: Evening Shift. Sunday-Thursday. 3:00pm – 11:30pm
Qualifications
EDUCATION – High school diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE – Two years relevant experience in a healthcare, commercial or
industrial setting.

No direct patient care.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the
following essential functions. These examples do not include all of the
functions which the employee may be expected to perform.
Completes assigned rounds on shift as required. Maintains current and accurate
information by updating maintenance schedules and records.
Maintains a room check schedule to proactively maintain a safe and comfortable
room with all equipment working properly.
Performs on-demand work requests by all staff and visitors of the hospital.
Meets deadlines and provides follow up to customers regarding plans,
procedures or delays.
Interacts with other trades within Facilities Operations when greater
expertise is needed to satisfy the customer’s needs.
Uses laptop computer for tracking work requests, tracking time and
materials, processing needed supplies and maintaining needed inventory.
