Job Overview
The Speech-Language Pathologist I provides diagnostic evaluations and
intervention programs for children with speech, language, learning,
feeding/swallowing, or hearing disorders in all settings in which services
are offered including but not limited to inpatient, outpatient,
outreach, and telehealth programs. The Speech-Language Pathologist I is an
entry level position in a Career Advancement Program (CAP).
Additional Information
Department Name: Health Pavilion Speech Pathology Services
Hours per week: 40, eligible for benefits
Shift: Monday – Friday, 8am to 4:30pm. Work hours may vary due to
department needs.
Qualifications
EDUCATION – Master’s degree in Speech- Language Pathology or related field
required.
EXPERIENCE – Fluent Spanish speaking clinician strongly preferred. AAC
experience in therapy and diagnostics preferred.
CERTIFICATION(S) – BLS for Healthcare Providers/CPR; American
Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical
Competence (CCC)-Speech-Language Pathologist required.
LICENSURE – State of Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA)
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required.

POPULATION SPECIFIC CARE
Neonate – 30 days to 1 yr
Toddlers – >1 yr to 3yrs
Pre-Schoolers – >3yrs to 5yrs
School age – >5yrs to 13yrs
Adolescent – >13yrs to 18yrs
Adult – >18yrs to 65yrs
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the

Completes case management activities consistent with department quality
assurance and quality improvement standards. Completes written documentation
in accordance with department standards for format, location, and time
frames. Assists in achieving departmental financial budget targets
Collaborates with the family, physicians, schools and other educational
institutions, and other providers to ensure the continuum of care for the
child and ptimal clinical services. All interactions are non-judgmental and
based on mutual respect.
