Quality Engineer

Duties and responsibilities

• Calculate and track External and internal KPI
• File process and complete Process Change requests with customers
• Process and complete PPAP submissions
• Negotiate with the customers on requirements for Approval
• Meet and negotiate dimensional and testing results for approval
• Oversee dimensional collection and testing team (1-7 members)
• Assign priority for dimensional collection activity
• Assign priority for testing activity
• Make/review testing completion schedule
• Ensure that internal calibrations are completed on time
• Contact outside vendors for testing and calibrations services
• Track and stratify internal and external defect data
• Produce and maintain QA document for process/product control (CP, INS STD, traceability, PFEMA…)
• 3d printing and design of basic jig/nest designs
• Monitor and follow new model development and prepare
• Coordinate the maintenance and repair of gauging equipment/fixtures
• Run statistical reports (MSA, Variation, CPK, PPK…)
• Lead improvement activities as needed
• Build and maintain reports in QMS portal (Intelex)
• Coordinate the document control system
• Review and approve PPAP submitted to CUC

Qualifications

• 4 years of related experience in manufacturing, industrial or engineering customer service, order entry and sales of bachelor’s degree in related field or combination of equivalent education and experience.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills with internal and external customers at all levels of the organization providing courteous, timely and accurate information.
• Demonstrated analytical competencies in basic math skills. Technical aptitude with product specification drawings a plus.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and to prioritize situations requiring urgent attention is critical. Time and procedural manuals.
• Requires ability to read and comprehend documents including customer QMS manuals: blueprints, training and procedural manuals.
• Demonstrated competencies in computer software (MS Office, AutoCAD)
• Flexibility and willingness to learn new concept, processes and product information.
• Willing to travel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
