The Marketing Enablement and Automation team is the team that understands the data available in Choice’s source databases and creates actionable data points/insights in the custom lifecycle through Cheetah, our EMP. As a key member of our Email Marketing and Enablement team, you will segment and create customer audiences to personalize the dynamic messaging within the Email HTML.

Your Responsibilities
Use specialized Marketing Technology (Cheetah Digital) software to manipulate data, segment customer audiences, deploy email campaigns, and construct customer journeys.
Use Email Service Provider to operationalize HTML/CSS images and content for marketing and transactional emails, using industry best practices.
Ensure that HTML/CSS content and customer data is properly tested across various devices/platforms prior to deployment (using Email on Acid for QA).
Work with internal teams (marketing, technology, BI) to understand campaign business requirements, receive HTML, and enhance data quality / availability.
Serve as liaison with internal business teams to ensure all html emails are created in accordance with corporate and privacy standards.
Include updated logos and content on daily running emails as promotions change and program participation change.
Work with internal teams to maintain campaign calendar and ensure that marketing campaign tactics deploy within aggressive timelines.
Collaborate with marketing teams across other channels to ensure requirements are met, data is available, and automation is in place (Facebook Business Manager, Google Ads, Adobe Audience Manager).
Suggest changes and improvements to campaign processes. Proactively communicate, obtain approvals, and adapt processes based on an evolving landscape.
Your Experience, Skills & Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or technology related field.
3+ years of professional experience, preferably in a marketing or data-driven role.
Proficient understanding of HTML/CSS language, and HTML editors (Dreamweaver) a must.
Data driven and analytical, with preferred experience using SQL (Oracle, AWS Redshift).
Excellent communication, both verbal and written, analytical, and teamwork skills.
Experience with marketing technology platforms (Cheetah EDP, Adobe, Other Email Service Providers) a plus.
The curiosity to constantly question existing processes and business requirements.
Excellent organizational and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple initiatives and on time delivery.
Ability to provide necessary feedback on time sensitive deliverables.
Knowledge of the hospitality/travel industry strongly preferred, but not required.
Solid understanding of relational database foundations a plus.
Demonstrated ability to undertake work assignments independently with minimal direction.
Willing to travel up to 15%.

This is an individual contributor role that will report to the Sr. Manager, Marketing Enablement and Automation. You will have 3 peer teammates and collaborate with cross-functional departments on a regular basis.

As our Marketing Enablement Analyst, you will be based in our beautiful, state-of-the-art worldwide corporate headquarters in Rockville, MD. Less than 15 miles from Washington, DC, we’re located directly across from the Rockville Metro station, with service on the Red Line and the MARC Brunswick line, easy access to I-270, and plenty of free parking provided by Choice Hotels.
Right now, our associates in Rockville, MD are working in a hybrid environment, up to 4 days per week in the office and virtual from your home office the remaining days.
