OPPORTUNITY
Christian Horizons is seeking a Vice President of Community Operations who will manage and direct the operations of all Christian Horizons communities. This position is responsible for achieving all revenue and expense management goals and financial results. He/She will manage associates including but not limited to Community Executive Directors and Community Administrators, and Interim Executive Director. Additional responsibilities include operating in accordance with the overall mission, vision and values of Christian Horizons. They also include ensuring the highest quality of care, high associate morale, resident engagement, and the continued development and implementation of business plans, including ensuring a well-respected reputation in each community.

Ensures that an overall ministry plan is developed and maintained; that the plan is developed with input from and consideration of the entire ministry; that each individual is aware of the plan and their role in ensuring the success of the plan.
Leads necessary change management initiatives to achieve work plan results.
Ensure the community is following the Christian Horizons systems approach to operational initiatives.
Serves as the operations “subject-matter-expert leader” in all care levels within Christian Horizons communities.
Manages communities financial performance within operating controls and systems to maintain quality services, high resident satisfaction, high associate morale, and satisfactory performance results. Operates communities within the established budget guidelines.
Provides recommendations to current practices to ensure compliance and high quality care and activates necessary operation initiatives and plan adaptations to achieve performance results.
Provides feedback on best practice adaptations to care delivery and expense investment opportunities.
Evaluates and takes action to correct and/or maintain the reputation and performance of each Community.
Actively manages staffing needs in each community, evaluates open position recruitment and retention results, and activates solutions to the recruitment and retention needs and initiatives and monitors staffing levels to meet state, federal and corporate guidelines.
Provides performance reporting and initiatives to achieve performance results.
Bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare related field.
At least five years in operational leadership with a multi-site, multi-state senior living or healthcare organization in skilled nursing, assisted living and seniors housing.
Proven strong operational, clinical and financial management skills.
Proven Change Management/Process Improvement Leader
Proven Strategic Thinker
Experience with state/federal survey processes and thorough knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations and of Medicare regulations or strong aptitude to implement current and new regulations.
Proven ability to communicate effectively and deal tactfully with associates, residents, families, visitors, government agencies, and the general public.
Current driver’s license, auto insurance, and dependable transportation.
