Summary
CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Agronomy (Crop Protection) Division. We are looking for an Accounting Specialist IV to join our growing team. You must be detail oriented with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, can multi-task, and problem solve, and lead a small team.
Responsibilities
Lead activities of a team to build, maintain, and enhance customer relationships
Manage operations of the team by creating schedules to align with seasonal demand, assigning, and monitoring work and gathering resources.
Ensure day to day operations are completed accurately and on time, providing back up support as needed.
Work with sales department to provide customers with quality service, accurate contracts and billings, current account information, smooth transactions, and a positive experience with CHS Agronomy.
Ensure all shipments are reviewed, recorded, and invoiced correctly.
Review invoices and apply shipments to the proper contract and price to generate invoices.
Confirm all loads are accounted for and investigate unusual incidents.
Prepare monthly unsettled shipment reports for financial accounting.
Assist customers with questions and issues related to loads, contracts, applications, and web portal.
Coordinate with sales department on any contract/customer needs.
Update Accounts Receivable personnel of any changes.
Produce loading documents for multiple locations.
Coordinate with scale personnel to ensure steady, error-free flow of outgoing shipments.
Ensure all documentation for every shipment is readily available and in the proper location when needed
Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
3 plus years work experience in a customer service or related role
High School Diploma or GED
Experience interacting with internal and external customers
Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Ability to work extended hours as the business demands
Additional Qualifications
Agriculture industry experience
Accounting experience

Compensation: This includes base wage and may consist of other earnings depending upon position within CHS, consisting of bonuses, incentives, commissions, merit pay. This position may be an opportunity for promotion.
