As a Library Manager you will be responsible for to providing collaborative and innovative information and knowledge services for Cincinnati Children’s Edward L. Pratt Research Library, providing assistance with the strategic direction and leading medium to large complex projects related to an academic medical center virtual library; opportunity to gain broad medical library experience in a top-rated pediatric medical center.

REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES

·Primary Responsibility

• Serve as senior subject matter expert (SME) in the development of strategies, goals, and plans to support the information and knowledge service needs of researchers, clinicians, and larger Cincinnati Children’s community and managing library staff.
• Includes having a broad range of knowledge and expertise in managing a medical library, including familiarity and assistance with library management systems, literature searches, publishing, research impact metrics, other clinical/research forums, document delivery/ILL, and references.

Other Responsibilities Include

• Contribute to the day-to-day operation of an academic medical center library in all aspects of information and knowledge management including, but not limited to circulation, document delivery/ILL and reference.

• Keep abreast of work with departmental leadership to understand organizational, patron, clinical, and research goals related to informational and knowledge services. Help translate those goals into and lead project plans.

• Develop and support learning modules utilizing multiple media formats and technologies to instruct the community on resources using evidence-based practice principles in the clinical/research setting, both in person and virtually.

• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of standards, trends, and best practices of library and information science; make recommendations & significantly contribute to development of policies, procedures, collections, services, training, etc. based on that knowledge
