Job Description
Cintas is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist. Responsibilities include supporting the Accounts Payable Department and field locations with a range of moderately complex accounts payable transactions and report preparation, analysis and review in a timely manner; providing contributions to process improvements; independently identifying and providing solutions to problems and questions; develop, prepare and analyze spreadsheets and reports to track and/or monitor financial transactions and/or internal controls and procedures; posting data to financial systems and worksheets; conducting quarterly self-audits to verify reports and transactions; responding to complex and difficult inquiries that require more analyses and problem solving; actively participating in process improvement and department projects; leading projects and presenting results to Leadership and Accounts Payable Department as requested; training new or current employee-partners in work procedures and providing feedback to supervisors; assisting with assigning work and monitoring progress within the team.
Skills/Qualifications
Required
High School Diploma/GED
2+ years’ Accounting or Accounts Payable experience
Strong computer skills, including extensive SAP experience and high-intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word, including downloads, uploads, formulas, VLOOKUP and pivot tables
Ability to extract data from systems for use in preparing accounting reports and statements and ability to review data for reasonableness and accuracy
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop and implement solutions
Ability to learn quickly and use judgement and initiative to determine the approach of action in non-routine situations
Ability to perform work with high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Ability to give detailed instructions effectively and provide feedback on training in a professional manner
Excellent organization and time-management skills
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and work across organization functional boundaries to meet deadlines
