The Customer Experience (CX) organization is leading our Cisco colleagues in redefining how we work with our clients! The qualified Business Development Director will lead the team of Business Development Managers who work closely with Cisco Account Teams and extended CX teams in developing new opportunities to meet our top Enterprise customer’s business and IT needs. Beyond just leading the team of Business Development Managers, you will actively drive growth in the business by developing relationships with our Service Sellers, CX and Sales Leaderships along with customers and key partners. You will be responsible to find new innovative ways to generate the CX pipeline with our Service Sellers.
Who You’ll Work With
You will be part of the Customer Experience (CX) team focused on driving successful insertion and adoption of Cisco services across Cisco sales activities. You will support interaction with senior management across direct field sales, service sales, specialist teams and service delivery within the GES South Area. The team of Business Development Managers that you will lead have deep knowledge of Cisco’s Service portfolio spanning Enterprise Network, Datacenter, Security, Collaboration, Cloud, and Automation. Team members are expected to leverage this knowledge to develop solutions and shape services opportunities based on Customer / Sales requirements across all vertical market environments.

You have a proven track record in growing customer business through the creation of end-to-end service solutions. Beyond leading a direct team, you can also lead matrixed, dynamic teams in pre-sales engagements, coordinate activities, drive efficient partnerships and drive the team to produce high quality complex proposals and statements of work.
You achieve success through strong cross-functional relationships, engaging talent to jointly design and deliver what an individual team could not. You measure success in the impact of your programs and breadth of cross-functional contribution. You are an independent self-starter, who is proactive with a program management mindset to resolve conflicts. You have excellent verbal and written skills in communicating and positioning Cisco’s Services business and capabilities with the field and with Customers. You have a proven track record of success. You are a problem solver with experience in risk and issue management, escalation and resolution. You provide constructive coaching and feedback to all levels within the team as necessary.

Knowledge and skills:
Proven track record of developing high performing teams with diverse responsibilities and skillsets.
Experience as a people manager and/or manager of managers.
Demonstrated track record of pursuing and managing services engagements of $1M+.
Clear success in prior roles, with increasing levels of responsibility and independence.
Excellence in all areas of business management, including project management, business analysis, recommendation, and consensus building.
Demonstrated ability to conduct fact-based analysis to identify, prioritize, structure, and solve complex business problems.
Experience leading a team in solution architecture and complex integrated service design across multiple architectures: Automation and Orchestration, Cloud transformation, Networking, Security, IoT, Collaboration, Mobility, Enterprise Networking, Data Centre, Software etc.
Strong client presence and CxO level engagement experience, consulting and /or professional services delivery.
Proven track record of developing and winning multi-architecture solution contracts.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills to consult, communicate and position Cisco’s value and capabilities to customers senior executives.
Mastery of multi-tasking environment, meet deadlines, stakeholder management and conflict resolution.
Minimum Requirements:
10+ years’ experience leading consulting services sales/presales or delivery teams in the large enterprise sector.
5+ years’ experience leading technical customer facing solution development in pre-sales roles.
BA/BS required; MBA preferred.
