Citigroup Hiring for Application Support Engineering Lead (VP)- Markets Technology at Tampa, Florida Full Time

Department Overview:

ICG Markets Technology is creating a new set of applications for transaction monitoring and supervision activities across Markets asset classes. The suite of applications will provide functionality to Markets supervisors to review and action supervision events, towards fulfilment of their supervisory responsibilities. To compliment this growth – a new production support team is being created to provide best in class application support to this technology stack, and to our business stakeholders – complimenting the firms ever growing commitment to improving our controls environment . This is a really exciting opportunity to be part of establishing a brand new team from first principles and help have an imprint on future direction.

Role Overview:

We are searching for a highly motivated and enthusiastic production support professional to be a technical expert in this team and support the global manager with future growth.

We work in partnership with business and other technology counterparts running the application production platform, providing quick resolutions to their issues, drive stability, efficiency and effectiveness improvements to help us and the business succeed.

You will be required to work closely with senior business and technology partners developing application knowledge, driving and tracking projects around stability and service improvement, operational fundamental improvements, incident resolution and follow-up activities and providing strategic technical solutions

You will develop detailed knowledge of multiple business areas and functions, coupled with cutting edge technologies in this exciting opportunity.

You will be working closely with your counterparts other regions, along with application developers and business analysts in the team.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to handle incidents, problems and change at a global enterprise level. Calm and analytical when faced with major incidents on critical systems.

• Champion stability initiatives to enable application high availability for Business-As-Usual which includes better monitoring, failover and resiliency

• Perform controlled resolution of incidents and problems including prioritization and escalation to relevant groups when appropriate, root cause analysis of all problems with follow-through to resolution.

• Communicate effectively with operations and technology partners on a regional or global basis.

• Working closely as a trusted partner for senior business heads

Qualifications:

• Experience (5+ years) with application support is desirable.

• Previous financial institution experience preferable.

• Good team player and ability to effectively share information is essential.

• Good general problem solving skills and ability to prioritize workload a must.

• Experience with Unix/Linux/ SQL are essential

• Programming skills would be an added advantage

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

• Bachelor’s/University degree
