The LATAM Business Process Automation & Intelligence is a Senior Vice President responsible for identifying key business risk & control monitoring tools and implementing operational simplification opportunities in coordination with the various stakeholders in the region and countries. The overall objective is to drive risk reduction and increase efficiencies through the identification and implementation of tools to more proactively identify risk identification and remediation initiatives across the LATAM Region.
He/She will partner with professionals across complex areas, businesses, and functions. Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Responsible for proactive identification and delivery of a full range of analytical tools through process re-engineering and automation. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Accountable for the end results of an area.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the identification of potential risk & control initiatives and business simplification opportunities, analyzing them to determine operational effectiveness impact, prioritizing them and developing detailed implementation plans
Identification areas of focus to drive business optimization through business intelligence and insightful analysis (identification, sizing, execution & tracking)
Create/modify/manage presentations associated to risk & Control initiatives being handled
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving increased transparency and early identification of risk and control, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues.
Responsible for scoping, directing & managing a portfolio of process improvement/reengineering/automation projects within or across businesses.
Develop and executes influencing strategies to build & increase buy-in and business leadership support.
Accountable for achieving measurable and sustainable operational efficiency results, and consequently, financial benefits.
Interface with business, key stakeholders, champions & other stakeholders. Proactively communicates with senior leadership.
Identify potential re-engineering/automation targets based on priorities for the management and global strategy.
Engage senior process owners for each project, locally, regionally or globally as required.
Shape large control related re-engineering programs of projects, define business cases and gain stakeholder buy in for projects.
Form project teams and create documentation to deliver control re-engineering projects.
Coordinate control re-engineering workshops, pilots and other delivery activities.
Educate teams in control re-engineering tools, techniques and principles.
Execute communication campaign to senior stakeholders across all impacted areas.
Maintain accurate documentation including plans, financials and control points for each project.
Partner with appropriate resources to deliver project related supporting material.
Work with cross-business teams to ensure communication is effective and achievements are communicated in a streamlined fashion.
Provides governance oversight for programs of control re-engineering efforts.
Engage partner organizations where appropriate to continue to raise awareness of strategic objectives and underlying principles.
Influence control re-engineering strategy and execution across the region, including continually improving toolsets, etc.
Perform other duties and functions as assigned.
Qualifications:
12+ Years of Experience
Process Re-engineering, Business Transformation, Process Simplification, Re-Engineering
LEAN methodology advantageous
Familiar with financial services products and processes (end to end basis)
Advanced MS Excel and MS PowerPoint required
Program/Project Management Skills
Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to influence and motivate others, delivering positive outcomes in complex projects involving business stakeholders, consumer technology partners, and global and regional collaborators
Strong strategic thinking and organization skills
Ability to prioritize and possess a Bold, Curious and Determined approach while being a strong Team Player
Able to drive a challenger and catalyst focus during all interactions related to business transformation
Experience delivering control re-engineering efforts in a complex, multi-national banking environment.
Knowledge of contol simplification tools, principles and application.
Ability to influence, lead and motivate diverse teams in multiple locations, including senior managers.
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
