City of Glasgow College Hiring for Education Support Workers Job at Glasgow, Scotland , UK Full Time

Temporary until June 2023
Bank (Part-Time), minimum 3 hours per block (term time)
Salary: Grade 3 (Bar) £23,734 – £25,139 per annum, pro rata as applicable

As part of our commitment to respond to the needs of students with additional support needs, we wish to appoint individuals to join our Education Support Workers Team.

Your role will be to support individual students or small groups within either a classroom or remote environment by undertaking note-taking or reading in lectures or during examinations, practical help depending on the needs of the student and prompting students to stay motivated and focussed on their tasks.

Good communications skills, include using social media, chatrooms, video calling, using captions and transcript functions and should all be familiar with accessibility functions.

You will also maintain a record of time spent with individual students.

To apply for this position you should have a relevant HNC or equivalent qualification and experience or knowledge of supporting students with additional support needs within an educational/training environment. You should be able to work flexibly as part of a team as well as having a working knowledge of MS Office.

Successful applicants will be subject to a PVG Disclosure Check and Certificate of Good Conduct (as applicable at their own cost) and must be eligible to work in the UK.
