Job Description
This is professional work in the administration, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of opioid abatement programs and services funded through financial support from settlements, judgments, verdicts, and other court orders related to abating and remediating the opioid epidemic.
This position reports directly to the Manager of Opioid Abatement. Work requires knowledge of applicable ordinance codes, settlements, judgments, verdicts, and other court orders related to the funding, implementation, and monitoring of programs and services to prevent and treat opioid use disorder and reduce the misuse of opioids in the City of Jacksonville. The work requires following guidelines, monitoring progress, and preparing reports. Work requires contacts with others, and requires skills in understanding and influencing people, which are important in coordinating program and service activities. Work is performed mainly in an office environment, but field work may be required in areas where there are some risks and hazards which are known, predictable and controllable. Operates vehicle and standard office equipment such as personal computers, telephones, scanners, and copiers. Physical demands are minimal, requiring the lifting of objects weighing less than 50 pounds. Work is performed under limited supervision wherein the work assignments are varied, and the worker plans and organizes the work, and determines priorities based on established procedures, practices, and precedents.

Coordinates and monitors contract administration.
Investigates and resolves contract-related problems and issues.
Schedules, monitors, reviews, and evaluates the performance of programs and services.
Establishes and maintains record keeping systems, including spreadsheets and other software applications, to track and monitor programs, services, and fiscal records.
Prepares, maintains, and reviews correspondence, reports, and forms.
Attends Opioid Abatement Advisory Committee meetings.
Attends various community meetings and promotes citizen awareness of opioid abatement programs and services.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of applicable ordinance codes, settlements, judgments, verdicts, and other court orders.
Ability to operate a personal computer and use word processing, database, and spreadsheet applications.
Ability to review and interpret applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Ability to resolve complaints and personnel related problems/issues.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to prepare and maintain correspondence, records, and reports.
Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
Ability to work evening/weekend hours, if required.

LICENSING/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:
City of Jacksonville Public Driver Certification – must qualify for prior to appointment, obtain and maintain during employment.
FLA Class E Driver’s License Is required prior to appointment and must be maintained.
