During this period City has made significant investments in its academic staff, its estate and its infrastructure and continues to work towards realising its vision of being a leading global university.
This is an exciting time to join the Student Counselling, Mental Health and Accessibility Service. Overall, the teams offer specialist advice, mentoring and psychological support to students during their time at the university.
You will provide an initial point of contact for students seeking to access support through the Student Counselling, Mental Health and Accessibility Service, offering guidance to students on available support, including around reasonable adjustments, disability-related funding, wellbeing and counselling. You will undertake key administrative processes, ensuring that students receive timely contact and support, and that records are kept up to date and accurate in line with GDPR.
You will possess an understanding of the challenges faced by disabled students in Higher Education, and an awareness of relevant legislation. You will have experience of providing excellent customer service, preferably in a similar role, as well as experience of working in an international, culturally diverse community. Exceptional record keeping skills and attention to detail are required, along with the ability to manage a busy and varied workload.
City offers a sector-leading salary, pension scheme and benefits including a comprehensive package of staff training and development.
