This role will give you the opportunity to positively influence and improve aviation safety performance by working closely with operators. The role will promote safety and engineering best practices within the New Zealand aviation system. As such, you will be required to exercise sound judgement and responsibility within an established operating framework.
This is a permanent position based and the salary band for this position goes from $112,171 to $156,711 with the mid-range being $131,259. Starting salaries will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, and relativities both, within the immediate team and in the broader Authority for the same or similar roles.
This role can be Wellington, Auckland or Christchurch based.

You will be respected by others for your integrity, professionalism and aviation experience and be passionate about improving safety performance. Your systems thinking approach combined with your ability to think critically and solve problems will be of benefit in your day to day work.
Experience in a maintenance control role or with helicopters/fixed wing in the Pt135/125/121 or supervisory / SQMS experience in a Pt145 environment is desirable.
