About The Role
We have a great opportunity for an experienced Intelligence Analyst to join the Aviation Security and Infrastructure Group. As a Strategic Intelligence Analyst you will inform the “intelligence process” by gathering, analysing and evaluating all-source information to produce impactful intelligence assessments on issues relevant to New Zealand’s aviation and wider national security. You will represent CAA and CTAG in a liaison capacity; where you will be required to present complex information, and/or convince or persuade others to gain their co-operation to achieve specific intelligence objectives.
The role can be varied and evolving in nature, therefore a sound judgement and awareness of domestic and international policy settings, and the geo-political and threat environment, will ensure the Strategic Intelligence Analyst produces coherent and well-reasoned assessments, identifies emerging trends and anticipates customer requirements.
The salary band for the Aviation Security Strategic Intelligence Analyst goes from $98,689 to $137,630 with the mid-range being $115,378. Starting salaries will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, and relativities both, within the immediate team and in the broader Authority for the same or similar roles.

Candidates should have the ability to build and maintain effective and productive working relationships across all levels of the organisation, as well as building effective relationships with external stakeholders.
