Aviation Security Service (AvSec) is the Government provider of aviation security in Aotearoa New Zealand, operating at our six major airports. Part of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), our role is to deliver premier aviation security, while enabling a high quality, responsive passenger experience. The National Rostering Centre (NRC) produces rosters for our Aviation Security Officers spread across New Zealand. Annually this equates to about 280,000 individual shifts and up to 7 million duties through the Quintiq rostering system. This work includes rostering for e-learning, training, managing leave applications, and any additional requirements such as meetings.
The Scheduler performs short-term planning for all six airports that the Aviation Security Service operates from within New Zealand. They work on a 24 hour/ 7 day a week shift cycle and process all operational changes to the rostering system each day. Work will be carried out at our Aintree Avenue site as well as some shifts rostered to work from home, so your home environment needs to be suitable for you to work and to answer and action phone calls and emails. All computer equipment will be supplied for this.

You will have experience at rostering, scheduling or planning and be comfortable and able to work in a 24 hour/ 7 day a week rostering environment. With excellent communication skills you will be able to build relationships with a wide range of people across the operation and provide sound advice to support them in their role.
The National Rostering Centre is located at Aintree Avenue near Auckland Airport, with free parking available to staff.

The salary band for this position goes from $58,661 to $85,991 with the mid-range being $72,326. Starting salaries will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, and relativities both, within the immediate team and in the broader Authority for the same or similar roles.
