About The Role
As the CAA is responsible for the safety and security of New Zealand’s civil aviation system, you’re going to need to be comfortable working in a legal and regulatory environment with technical aviation information.
The role demands an eye for detail, and a questioning and curious mind, because the information you produce on behalf of the Authority must be accurate. You’ll often be working to deadlines, and your day will frequently be unpredictable, so you also need to be well-organised and flexible.
You’ll need to be a compelling writer who can pitch your stories for use in multiple channels.
We want you to have strategic mind and well-developed relationship skills, for this role works with people from different areas within this diverse organisation.
You’ll be part of our great and collegial team and there’ll be times when you’ll need to support them in their work. It’s our team culture to help one another out.
While this role does have a strategic focus, we do need someone who can roll up their sleeves and produce the day-to-day communications with support from the rest of the team.
This is a permanent position based in Wellington and the salary band for this position goes from $112,171-$156,711 with the mid-range being $131,259. Starting salaries will be based on the knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, and relativities both, within the immediate team and in the broader Authority for the same or similar roles.
