Clarion Hotel & Conference Centre is looking for a Hotel Sales and Admin coordinator. The Hotel Sales and Admin coordinator is responsible for the overall revenue performance and sales development for CHA, and performing administration duties.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, highly organized, and a multi-tasker. They will possess a passion for Sales, and will also enjoy performing a variety of administrative tasks.

This position reports to the General Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct and manage all group, transient activities to maximize revenue for the hotel
• Coordinate between Front Desk and Catering on client invoicing, and with Hotel Controller on deposits and payments received.
• Schedule and coordinate meetings and appointments with external clients
• Schedule and coordinate internal meetings, prepare meeting agenda, take meeting minutes, and circulate to parties involved
• Maintain up to date filing on vendor contracts, and set contract renewal reminders to avoid automatic-rollover of contracts.
• Service an account base of corporate, government and association accounts through sales presentations, property tours, personal appointments, telephone solicitations and contract negotiations.
• Maintain current information on competitive hotels in the Abbotsford and Chilliwack area, and generally be knowledgeable of both competitive and market trends in the area
• Develop and implement strategic sales and action plan
• Participate in the development of annual goals, sales & marketing budget, forecasts, and other reports as directed/required
• Proactively execute sales activities including lead generation, personal sales calls, telephone solicitations, property tours, client entertaining and networking
• Attend and actively participate in daily briefings, weekly revenue meetings, management meetings and other meetings as required
• Travel, as needed, to solicit business, promote or represent the hotel at industry and/or community functions
• Be available to meet with clients evenings and weekends when needed
• Provide market intelligence and updates to General Manager and Asset Manager
• Put forth recommendations to General Manager and Asset Manager for improvement of property assets and services
• Provide sales support, follow up with clients for contract, rooming list, payments, and other relevant information.
• Coordinate with other departments to provide seamless and high quality service to clients

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
