Depart m e n t : Risk M a n a ge ment
The Risk Management Department, located in Bethesda, MD, is a leader in the risk management industry and plays a critical and strategic role within the Clark organization. The team is comprised of a dynamic group of finance, claims, and risk professionals whose primary objectives include reducing and mitigating risk and developing and implementing innovative insurance products and services that create profit enhancing opportunities for the organization.
Role: Risk Analyst
The Risk Analyst provides invaluable support to the Risk Management department and the broader organization:
Key Job Responsibilities:
Perform detailed Risk reviews of owner contracts in support of RFP and RFQ proposals
Act as a centralized contact and serve as liaison between project staff, subcontractors, and their insurance agents/brokers to communicate insurance requirements and Clark policy and procedures
Manage program documentation including receipt of insurance policies, endorsements, binders, coverage confirmations, and other policy documents
Maintain Risk Management Information System (RMIS), inclusive of all essential project related documents, insurance schedules and claim activity.
Facilitate insurance bid deliverables, including surety letters, requisite insurance documentation, and insurance and bonding quotations
Establish subcontractor insurance requirements from Owner contract provisions
Provide timely and accurate claim reporting to insurers
Prepare internal reports and communicate results to senior management
Identify and communicate key metrics and performance indicators
Support internal and external customers as necessary
Assist Risk Management leadership with projects as needed
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (Risk Management, Business, Finance, Economics preferred)
1-3 years prior work experience
Prior Property & Casualty Agent/Broker, Risk Management, or construction experience preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical skills
Organized, detailed, and deadline-driven
Team focused
Able to manage multiple projects concurrently
High level of personal accountability
