POSITION:

The Payroll Analyst role is pivotal to the growth of our multi-unit, multi-state Club Pilates locations. This position is responsible for all activities regarding the management of employee compensation in the company. The Payroll Analyst will undertake a variety of tasks such as entering payroll information, calculating wages and commissions, and making payments. The Payroll Analyst must have a great understanding of the concept of confidentiality, have experience in entering data with attention to detail, and have strong math skills to make the complex payroll calculations. The ideal candidate will be a thorough professional with good communication abilities. The goal is to carry out all payroll procedures with speed and accuracy.

Class formats target a wide range of clients, from young to more senior and beginner to advanced, truly making Club Pilates for EVERYbody. Our studios provide a current annual rate of over 10 million workouts to tens of thousands of members.

This position reports directly to the VP of Finance & HR of a Club Pilates franchise ownership group that currently operates 13 studios in 3 states with approximately 200 employees. Our 5-Year Target is to operate 25 studios serving 10,000 members.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

• Manage compensation packages using payroll software.

• Collect and verify timekeeping information for all employees.

• Calculate pay according to hours worked incorporating overtime and pay structure.

• Calculate bonuses and commissions according to employees contract terms.

• Manage and calculate taxes and deductions.

• Maintain payroll records.

• Ensure payroll calculations are visible to appropriate managers and employees.

• Respond to questions regarding payroll from employees and upper management in a timely manner.

• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in payroll.

• Ensure confidentiality and respect for the privacy of employee records.

• Ensuring all payroll transactions are correctly recorded into our financial system.

• Prepare and submit reports with payroll information to supervisor.

• Prepare and complete unemployment inquiries.

• Deliver excellent employee service to our employees.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Proven experience as Payroll Analyst – required 3 + years experience.

• Proven experience with UI claims, and other HR related issues

• Knowledge of payroll laws and familiarity with general accounting principles.

• Experience in data collection, entry and reporting with great attention to detail and confidentiality.

• Computer savvy with working knowledge of ADP Run, preferred but not required.

• Exquisite math and numerical skills.

• Outstanding organizational and time management skills.

• Strong computer skills.

• Strong skills in MS Excel and/or Google Sheets.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate with employees regarding their issues and concerns.

• Good client service skills.

• Sound decision making skills.

• Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment with specific deadlines.

• Ability to work independently in a time sensitive environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent; BS/BA in accounting/business administration is a plus.
