Join CMC’s Web Platform Product Team as a Senior or Staff Frontend Software Engineer React and bring your passion for web development and UI/UX to build a brand-new Web Trading Platform!

As a Senior or Staff Frontend Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building CMC’s new Web Trading platform that will serve over 1 million users and thousands of logins per month. This is a greenfield project with a new codebase in ReactJS.

As a Staff or Senior Web Frontend Engineer , you will:

• Design and implement a new web platform composed of multiple applications creating a codebase that is flexible, well-structured, robust, and easy to manage.

• Write high-performance, reusable code for UI components and frontend libraries implementing the new CMC Invest Design System.

• Collaborate with the product, UI designers and UX experts to create an outstanding experience cross-device/cross-browser and implementing accessibility following WCAG 2.1 AA.

• Optimise components for maximum performance.

• Perform effective code reviews leading the development of high-quality software.

• Recommend and assist with architectural changes to improve performance and reliability.

We look for teammates who:

• Are experience proficient Typescript and ES6, object model, DOM manipulation, event handlers.

• Have thorough experience with React and understand its fundamentals like JSX, Virtual DOM, component lifecycle, etc.

• Can design and implement high-performance applications having a good understanding of frontend performance such as complex state management, partial-hydration, component rendering isolation, profiling.

• Follow component-driven development and perform visual regression testing with Storybook.

• Are proficient with CSS and experienced with CSS-in-JS using Styled Components.

• Have experience in common frontend tools like Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.

• Have experience with using API’s (REST, WebSocket, GraphQL).

• Test their code implementing well-written unit (Jest), integration and UI test (Playwright).

• Proactive, self-starters with a strong sense of ownership, leadership, and collaboration to deliver the best product.
