CNO Financial Group Hiring for Portfolio Analyst at Carmel, Indiana Full Time

40|86 is hiring a Portfolio Analyst to perform detailed analytical and statistical review of investment performance at the investment asset class, strategy composite and account portfolio levels.

This is your opportunity to work closely with all levels within 40|86, including direct support for executive leadership.

As a Portfolio Analyst, your responsibilities will include:

• Responsible for detailed analytical and evaluative review of investment data, historical market data and portfolio performance.

• Conduct comparative analysis to publicly available benchmarks including industry peers

• Support team that reviews and assess strategic initiatives related to our long-term investment strategy

• Support portfolio managers, traders, and analysts within the firm with data, information and analysis to inform investment decisions.

• Effectively communicate with portfolio managers, clients, and other departments for requests and ad hoc reports.

The Portfolio Analyst position is well-suited for you if you:

• Have strong, quantitative & math skills

• Enjoy analytical work and easily process data qualitatively and quantitatively.

• Enjoy preparing data and presenting to an audience.

• Have outstanding business acumen, as well as a strong professional presence.

• Demonstrate professional communication skills, both written and verbal.

Qualified candidates will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, or related area required. MBA is a plus.

• 2+ years of prior experience in investment analysis as part of an institutional investment firm.

• Progress toward a CFA, CPA or similar is a plus.

• Advanced skills in Excel, including macros.

• Bloomberg experience is a plus but not required.
