Opportunities to join this established organisation do not come around every day so when they do you sit up and take notice! An IT software house specialising in the development of Accounting software has a newly created opportunity for a Graduate Developer with strong knowledge of SQL and to join their small team.

Working autonomously within a shared office environment, you will be responsible for a number of varied tasks which will ultimately provide you with a thorough understanding of both the organisation, and the software it develops. Specific responsibilities will include:

• Becoming familiar with scripting technologies used within the existing system to be able to provide support, upgrades and fixes as required.
• Becoming familiar with the database schema for both the existing product and new product.
• Being able to assist in the creation of user stories.
• Assisting the testing function with test plans and scripts, providing structured user feedback to the development process.

To be considered for these positions, the successful candidate will possess a tertiary qualification in a computer related discipline and be able to demonstrate an enthusiasm for this type of position. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also essential, as is the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team depending on the tasks given.

Technically the following skills are required:

• JavaScript ES5 and above.
• Bootstrap 4/5.
• HTML.
• Good working knowledge of Windows 7/10/11.
• Understanding of Microsoft SQL Server objects (tables/views/stored procedures/functions).
• Competent in SQL Scripting (TSQL) working within Microsoft SQL Server.
• VBScript / Pascal, Batch files and PowerShell.

Desirable technical skills include:

• Knowledge of SharePoint.
• Knowledge of Windows Server based systems.
• Understanding of Networks/Security/Remote Access Technologies.
• Delphi 7 and above.
• ASP.NET and/or Windows Forms development in C#.
• Experience of developing in Visual Studio and/or VS Code.
• Any formal testing methodology experience.
• Any knowledge of accounting systems and practices.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $50,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
