The Pitch. Here at ACR Coffee Roasters we are a team of coffee enthusiasts who are building our hot beverages business. As a specialist business unit we are driving a key growth category by partnering with internal stakeholders and café customers to provide tailored solutions.We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our fantastic team, based in our Dunedin or Queenstown office, to drive growth of our full portfolio throughout the Lower South Island region. The Role.
This role is essentially responsible for identifying and securing new business in cafes and restaurants, while also driving and supporting growth across our existing customer base with a strong focus on training and education. You’ll play a key role in implementing our coffee strategy, driving key initiatives, and building the presence of our brands within the market. You’ll work with a diverse portfolio of customers in the hospitality industry, so we need someone who is agile and able to build long-term partnerships that provides exceptional levels of service to our valued customers.
You’ll need to work collaboratively with a number of internal CCEP NZ teams to drive results for the Lower South Island region. As the expert when it comes to all things coffee you will support the sales teams and partner with them to provide our customers with a beverage for every occasion.
This role covers customers across the Lower South Island, so you’ll need to be able to travel when required.
What do I need?
Ideally, you’ll have a combination of both sales and hospitality or coffee experience. Your energy and tenacity will be key to success in this role, continually seeking new opportunities and striving to gain traction in a market packed with opportunity.
Commercial acumen is a must, and you’ll need a proven ability to analyse opportunities and make commercially viable decisions. On top of this, you’ll need to have strong communication skills, and an ability to create high-trust partnerships with our customers, with their needs at the forefront of everything you do.
While it’s not essential for the role, barista training and/or knowledge of coffee roasting is a big bonus!
